Primary Section – Year 2 to Year 5 –  A Coeducational Approach)

The primary section is driven and guided by the SBIS values and our mission to SHAPE students who join our family. Our environment is naturally geared to learning; however, in the Junior School it is also geared to allow children to learn within the context of the international lives that our parent body leads.

As a school we are committed to supporting each child’s social, emotional and intellectual development. With a dedicated team of primary teachers, our curriculum is designed to inspire to achieve their potential. We hope that parents will encourage the development of our students at home to support what is being done at school.

Students are encouraged to explore, experiment, wonder, inquire, practice, invent, create, imagine and play. We believe that learning is inspirational, transformational and that part of our role as educators of young children is to instill a love of learning. We want all our learners to be actively engaged and involved fully with all learning experiences.

Middle School – Year 6 to Year 8

The focus for the middle years shift from exploration to formalized learning since by the end of grades 6  our students will be sitting the CIE checkpoint exams. In the middle years the students develop their skills in all the subjects the school has to offer. Grades 5 and above are taught in two sections boys and girls, each with their own facilities.
